A recent change occurred in rules regarding overland entry by Thailand immigration as stated by Ministry of Interior on 1, July, 2016. The rules states that from 27, September, 2016 the VoA fee doubles to 2000 Baht from 1000 Baht.The citizens from 18 countries and one economic zone will be charged to 2000 Baht instead of 1000 Baht if they apply for VoA at any of the 42 designated emigration check points.
